Frank Annoh-Dompreh, Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in Ablekuma North to actively support their fellow party members in disputes with the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Speaking at an event attended by NPP caucus leaders, Annoh-Dompreh encouraged supporters to “join your party member to beat the NDC member” if they witness a confrontation between party factions.

Annoh-Dompreh, a vocal critic of the NDC, accused the opposition party of obstructing the Electoral Commission (EC) from finalizing the results in the Ablekuma North constituency, where the NPP claims victory. He issued a stern ultimatum to the EC, demanding that the results be declared within one week.

“We are giving the EC seven days to announce our candidate, Akua Afriyie, as the winner,” he stated, warning that further delays would lead to continued disruptions in Parliament.

Additionally, the Nsawam-Adoagyiri MP called for intervention from the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare, to address what he described as the NDC’s tactics to derail the electoral process.

“If the IGP does not take action, we will continue to demonstrate,” he warned. The NPP minority caucus maintains that the electoral process in Ablekuma North must be resolved quickly to reflect the legitimate outcome of the election.
