All staff at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) have been temporarily suspended, effective Monday, 24 February 2025, due to unresolved legal and administrative challenges surrounding employment and salary payments.

In a statement issued on Friday, 21 February, NEIP management explained that despite efforts to address staff concerns, the complexity of the legal issues means that operational funds cannot be used to pay monthly allowances. As a result, employment matters will need to follow the proper legal processes to prevent further complications.

The organisation clarified that only essential staff may be called back to work while the issues are resolved. Additionally, employees who have NEIP property in their possession have been instructed to return it to the HR Officer by close of business on Tuesday, 25 February. Failure to do so will be considered theft.

Management has pledged to provide updates as efforts to resolve the situation continue.
