East Legon Accident: Justine Agbenu Laid to Rest in Accra

Justine Agbenu, one of the victims of the tragic East Legon car accident, has been laid to rest following a solemn burial service at Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra. The service took place on Wednesday, drawing family, friends, and mourners who gathered to pay their final respects.

The 12-year-old and her friend, Maame Dwomoh Boaten, were involved in a fatal accident on Saturday, 12 October 2024, in East Legon, a suburb of Accra. A 16-year-old, reported to be the son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, crashed his white Jaguar into a Honda Acura carrying the young girls.

A candlelight vigil was held at the crash site on Dzane Ashie Street and Mensah Wood Avenue on Friday, 18 October. Mourners gathered at the intersection, where the tragic collision occurred, to honour the lives lost.

Maame Dwomoh Boaten was laid to rest on Saturday, 19 October, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Accra.
