Dolores ” Dodie” Osteen Passes Away at 91

Dolores Osteen, the beloved co-founder of Lakewood Church and mother of renowned pastor Joel Osteen, has passed away at the age of 91.

Her death was confirmed by the Osteen family on Tuesday, bringing an end to a remarkable life dedicated to faith, family, and ministry. Dolores, fondly known as “Dodie Osteen,” was celebrated as a matriarch of the Lakewood Church community, where she served alongside her late husband, John Osteen, in establishing what has become one of the largest churches in the United States.

Born in 1933, Dolores Osteen played a pivotal role in shaping Lakewood Church’s mission and outreach. Even after the passing of her husband in 1999, she continued to inspire congregants with her wisdom, grace, and unwavering devotion to God.

Tributes have been pouring in from around the world, with many describing her as a beacon of love and faith. Her son, Joel Osteen, took to social media to honor his mother, writing:
“She was a constant source of encouragement and prayer. Her legacy of faith will continue to impact generations.”

Details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
