The Ministry of Health has denied recent reports suggesting a pause in the construction of La General Hospital, stating that the project remains on track. This response comes after a report by TV3 News indicated that work on the hospital had stalled.

In a press release, the Ministry affirmed that significant progress is being made at various stages of the project. Officials assured the public that routine payment certification for the project’s contractor is underway, explaining that this standard procedure does not signify a work stoppage but rather ensures financial transparency and compliance.

“The Ministry wishes to confirm unequivocally that the La General Hospital project has not halted,” the statement read, seeking to reassure the community amid concerns over potential delays.

Urging media outlets to verify information with official sources, the Ministry underscored its commitment to completing the hospital as planned, aiming to enhance healthcare services for the local community and strengthen the national health system.
