Herbert Krapa Appointed as Ghana’s Minister for Energy

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Herbert Krapa as the new Minister for Energy, effective November 19, 2024.

Mr. Krapa, who previously served as Minister of State at the Ministry of Energy, has been praised for his “exceptional diligence, professionalism, and steadfast commitment,” according to the President.

In a statement signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications, Office of the President, President Akufo-Addo expressed confidence in Krapa’s leadership: “His dedication and achievements in the energy sector make him the right person to ensure its continued growth and transformation.”

Krapa’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, with expectations that he will drive key reforms to secure reliable and sustainable energy for Ghana.
