Ghanaian gospel musician Joe Mettle has expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of airplanes that operate flights to Ghana, suggesting that they are often inferior to those used for routes to other African countries.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Mettle shared his concerns, stating, “I’ve had the privilege to travel a bit and realised that most of the planes that come to Ghana are not the best at all compared to the ones that go to other African countries. Why is that?”

He further noted that flights to shorter destinations seem to be serviced by better aircraft, while those flying to Ghana often feature older or less comfortable planes despite higher ticket prices.

“Many times, the flight distance is even shorter, yet they provide better planes. Is it because we take whatever is given to us and don’t insist on better service?” Mettle questioned. He also highlighted the high cost of tickets for these flights, adding, “And oh boy, these tickets are not cheap.”
