The summer transfer window is already heating up as Manchester United and Manchester City set their sights on Sporting CP’s prolific striker, Viktor Gyökeres.

United have entered concrete talks with the Swedish international, according to Sky Germany. It is also understood that United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, who worked with the striker at Sporting CP, is keen to add Gyökeres to his attack.

However, financial constraints mean the Red Devils must offload players before they can seal the deal.

Not to be outdone, City have intensified their pursuit in recent days, with Director of Football Hugo Viana reportedly pushing hard to bring Gyökeres to the Etihad.

The striker, who has been a standout performer in Portugal, has caught the attention of both clubs with his clinical finishing and physical presence.

With both Manchester giants fully involved, Gyökeres could find himself at the center of one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas.
