Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Ghanaians to vote for the NDC and its flagbearer, John Mahama, in the upcoming 2024 elections, describing it as the only path to building “the Ghana we want.”

Speaking at the party’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina on December 5, Opoku-Agyemang praised Mahama as an “experienced, respectful, and dependable” leader. She emphasized that under Mahama’s leadership, the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme would be improved, criticising the current government for its poor implementation of the policy.

“The Free SHS policy is being poorly implemented; Mahama will make it better,” she said.

Opoku-Agyemang also highlighted the need to vote out the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing issues such as the denial of retirees’ hard-earned investments under the current administration. “For the first time, we’ve seen our retirees being denied their investments,” she added.
