The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to use its victory in Ghana’s December 7 general elections to drive the country towards progress and prosperity.

In a press briefing at the party’s headquarters on Sunday, December 8, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey expressed the NDC’s commitment to serving the nation with its newly secured mandate.

Kwetey also called on the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to avoid unnecessary delays in the declaration of results.

Highlighting the NDC’s confidence in the outcome, Kwetey described the party’s victory as both “decisive” and “undeniable.”

“We have secured a significant majority, and we intend to use it responsibly for the benefit of the people of Ghana,” he said.

The General Secretary further urged the EC to ensure that the declaration of the presidential results is not postponed, emphasising that the NDC is confident of its position.

“Our victory is already in the bag,” he added.
