Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has confirmed that Parliament will reconvene on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

The announcement was made through a circular issued on December 11, 2024, outlining the venue for the upcoming parliamentary session.

The reconvening comes after Speaker Bagbin’s earlier notice on December 2, 2024, calling for Parliament’s return following the December 7 general elections.

The decision has sparked discussions within political circles, particularly after earlier requests from the Majority for an earlier recall to address legislative matters related to the elections.
