Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Chairperson of the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, has expressed confidence in the growing support for the programme, particularly among non-New Patriotic Party (NPP) members.

The initiative, which aims to recover state assets allegedly misappropriated during the tenure of the current government, has gained momentum among citizens who are committed to ensuring transparency and accountability, according to Mr Ablakwa.

In a recent social media post, he praised the increasing backing for ORAL, stressing that the initiative is a national cause rather than a partisan effort. He added that it is designed to protect Ghana’s resources for the benefit of all citizens.

“It’s great to see more NPP stalwarts supporting Mahama’s Operation-Recover-All-Loot (ORAL). Predictably, all Ghanaians who were not part of the notorious NPP looting brigade are excited about ORAL. Nothing will stop the people’s ORAL!” Mr Ablakwa said.

The ORAL team, under Mr Ablakwa’s leadership, has outlined a detailed strategy to trace and reclaim assets suspected to have been unlawfully acquired by government officials. This will involve reviewing public records, collaborating with international partners, and using legal avenues to hold individuals accountable.

Mr Ablakwa reassured the public that the initiative will remain focused on its mission, regardless of political affiliations, and called for all well-meaning Ghanaians to support ORAL by providing credible information about suspected cases of misappropriation.

He emphasised that the initiative belongs to every Ghanaian who believes in justice, fairness, and the responsible use of state resources. “This is a national effort to safeguard the nation’s wealth for future generations,” he concluded.
