Following a disappointing AFCON 2025 qualification campaign, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed a new management committee for the Black Stars. The previous committee, chaired by GFA Vice President Mark Addo, was dissolved after Ghana’s elimination from the qualification race.

The newly formed five-member team will be headed by Dr. Randy Abbey, a GFA Executive Council member, with former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah stepping in as Vice Chairman, focusing on player relations. Other members include Medeama SC President Moses Armah, FC Samartex President Richard Nsenkyire, and Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association.

Dr. Abbey will take charge of the committee, while Appiah will oversee player interactions. Armah and Aboabire will manage matchday operations, with Nsenkyire handling special duties for the Black Stars.

The Black Stars’ next challenge is a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad, scheduled for March 19, 2025.
