Pelpuo,Sam George,Kofi Adams,5 others to face vetting  today

A total of eight ministers-designate, including Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo and Samuel Nartey George, are scheduled for vetting by Ghana’s Parliamentary Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Pelpuo, who has been nominated for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment, will appear before the committee at 8:00 a.m., followed by Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, the nominee for the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology, at 9:00 a.m.

At 10:00 a.m., Samuel Nartey George, nominated for the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, will face questioning from the committee.

Later, Kofi Iddie Adams, the nominee for the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, is set to appear at 11:00 a.m. The committee will break for lunch and resume at 12:30 p.m. with Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, nominated for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Other ministers-designate scheduled for the afternoon include Joseph Bukari Nikpe, nominee for the Ministry of Transport at 1:30 p.m., Issifu Seidu, nominated for the Ministry of State for Climate Change and Sustainability, at 2:30 p.m., and Mrs. Charity Gardiner, nominee for the Ahafo Region, at 3:30 p.m.

On Friday, January 31, further vetting sessions will take place for nominees including Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu, for the Savannah Region, and Felix Kwakye Ofosu, nominated as Minister of State for Government Communications, among others.
