ADB MD Alhassan Yakubu-Tali Resigns

In a move that marks the end of an era, Mr. Alhassan Yakubu-Tali has officially stepped down as Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), effective February 5, 2025. His resignation follows the appointment of a new MD by the bank’s majority shareholder.

Yakubu-Tali, who had taken on the top role in December 2022, previously served as the bank’s Deputy Managing Director from August 2017 to November 2022. During his tenure, he was credited with launching a transformative two-year corporate strategy that led to significant growth in the bank’s capital and assets.

In a statement issued on February 6, ADB acknowledged his leadership and expressed gratitude for his pivotal contributions. The bank’s board, management, and staff extended their best wishes for his future endeavors, recognizing the impact of his work in steering the institution toward a more prosperous future.
