Ghana’s path to the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) just got clearer following Niger’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Sudan on Thursday at Stade de Kegue. The result leaves Ghana in a strong position to take a major step toward qualification in their clash against Angola today.

A win against Angola would catapult Ghana to third place in Group standings, just one point behind Sudan, as they head into Monday’s final round of qualifiers. Sudan, however, faces a tough challenge in their home match against Angola, while Ghana will host Niger in what is shaping up to be a thrilling decider.

This result makes today’s showdown against Angola crucial. Victory would not only boost Ghana’s chances of qualification but also build momentum ahead of the decisive encounter with Niger.
