Ahead of the December 7 elections, President Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to vote for their preferred candidates in a peaceful and dignified manner.

Addressing the nation on December 6, the president urged citizens to fulfil their civic duty by participating in the polls with respect for each other and a commitment to peace. “Let us go and cast our ballots in peace and dignity, in an environment of tolerance and mutual respect,” he said.

Akufo-Addo also expressed confidence in the Electoral Commission, praising its improvements in efficiency and transparency. “Today, we have good reason to be proud of the Electoral Commission. It is a much more efficient and transparent institution, and we are confident it will deliver free, fair, and credible elections that reflect the will of the people,” he added.
