Barack Obama Raps Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at Detroit Rally for Kamala Harris

At a rally in Detroit on Tuesday evening, former President Barack Obama surprised the crowd by rapping part of Eminem’s legendary song “Lose Yourself” in support of Vice President Kamala Harris. The unexpected moment came just before Obama took the stage to deliver his speech, energizing the crowd in the battleground state of Michigan.

Eminem himself introduced Obama, emphasizing the importance of Detroit and Michigan in the upcoming election. “Now more than ever, we need to make our voices heard,” Eminem told the audience. He highlighted the critical role of freedom of speech and expressed his strong endorsement of Harris, stating, “I believe Vice President Harris is dedicated to protecting these freedoms and ensuring a better future.”

Though Eminem is known for generally staying away from politics, he has made exceptions in recent years, notably criticizing Donald Trump in 2016 and allowing Joe Biden to use “Lose Yourself” during his 2020 campaign. His endorsement of Kamala Harris further solidified his involvement in this election cycle.
