Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, cast his vote in the Walewale constituency of northern Ghana’s Savannah Region on December 7, 2024, as the country went to the polls in the general election.
Dr. Bawumia was greeted with enthusiasm by supporters and locals upon his arrival at the polling station.
Speaking to the media after voting, the Vice President expressed optimism about securing victory in the presidential race. He highlighted the NPP’s campaign efforts and the trust Ghanaians have in the party’s achievements.
“I am confident of victory,” Dr. Bawumia said. “The people of Ghana have seen the progress we’ve made, and I believe they will make the right choice to continue on this path.”
The Vice President also urged voters across the country to participate peacefully and uphold the democratic values of the nation. He praised electoral officials for their professionalism and encouraged citizens to contribute to a transparent and smooth election process.
