Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Communications Director for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, has called on the Ghana Immigration Service to enhance vigilance at border points to prevent the illegal entry of foreign nationals into the country.

Aboagye emphasized that this measure is critical to ensure that non-Ghanaians do not unlawfully participate in the upcoming elections scheduled for December 7. His comments were prompted by recent reports from the Ghana Immigration Service regarding the arrest of the NDC Secretary for Akatsi North, who was allegedly attempting to transport dummy ballot papers to Togo under the guise of voter education.

During a press conference on December 6, Aboagye stressed that the election is exclusively for Ghanaian citizens and must be determined solely by the Ghanaian electorate.

“We commend the Ghana Immigration Service and urge them to increase vigilance across our borders to prevent non-Ghanaians from being smuggled into Ghana to vote,” Aboagye stated. “The intention is clear, and we must do everything possible to ensure that this does not happen. This election is for Ghanaians and will be decided by the Ghanaian people only.”
