Tensions have flared in the Dome Kwabenya constituency in the Greater Accra Region as supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) protest the arrival of alleged new pink sheets at the collation centre.

Eyewitnesses connected to the NDC claim their parliamentary candidate has won the seat, despite the Electoral Commission (EC) not yet declaring the results. The NDC supporters allege that individuals associated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are attempting to manipulate the results by introducing new pink sheets at the collation centre.

According to the NDC, the alleged NPP operatives bypassed security personnel and attempted to mix the new pink sheets with the original ones at the collation table. The NDC has also accused the Electoral Commission of being complicit in efforts to alter the results in favour of the NPP candidate.

The NDC supporters have vowed to resist any attempt by the NPP or the EC to tamper with the election outcome.
