Davido congratulates Ghana on a peaceful election

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has congratulated Ghana on its successful and peaceful 2024 general elections, following the announcement of former President John Mahama as the new president-elect.

Davido shared a message of celebration on X (formerly Twitter), alongside an image of the Ghanaian flag. The post came after Ghana’s Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded defeat to Mahama, marking a significant moment in the country’s democratic process.

In his post, Davido praised the peaceful nature of the election, underscoring Ghana’s democratic spirit. His message highlighted the unity and pride shared by Ghanaians as they embraced the transition of power.
