Nigerian musician Davido, whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, has extended his congratulations to John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), following his decisive victory in the December 7 elections. In a heartfelt post shared with his millions of followers on X, Davido celebrated the news with a simple yet joyful message.

Mahama, who served as president of Ghana from July 2012 to January 2017, also received congratulations from his main opponent, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. In a concession speech delivered on Sunday, Bawumia, the candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), acknowledged that internal data from his party indicated a clear victory for the NDC in both the presidential and parliamentary polls.

“Let me say that the data from our own internal collation of the election results indicate that former President John Dramani Mahama has won the presidential election decisively,” Bawumia stated.
