Ghanaian gospel artist Diana Hamilton, in collaboration with Nigerian singer Mercy Chinwo, has seen significant success with their song “The Doing of the Lord,” which has been named the most-played track on Ghanaian radio in 2024.

According to music analytics platform Chart Metrics, the song received 449 spins on Ghanaian radio, making it the most frequently played track of the year. The report, which tracked more than 2 million songs played across 2,860 radio stations in Ghana, highlighted the widespread popularity of the track.

While the achievement has been celebrated, some have raised questions regarding the total number of spins across the industry. Nonetheless, “The Doing of the Lord” continues to resonate with audiences, also amassing over 6 million views on YouTube.

The song’s success underscores Hamilton’s prominent place in Ghana’s gospel music scene and reflects the growing cross-border collaborations in African music.
