An Electoral Commission (EC) official has been arrested at Kintampo South Constituency in the Bono East Region for alleged electoral offences during the ongoing general elections.

Dery Joseph, the suspect, was detained by the Ghana Police Service for issuing around 15 ballot papers that omitted the first presidential candidate (Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia) at the Ampesika-Bayere polling station.

The incident has raised concerns over the integrity of the voting process, and investigations are underway. Authorities have assured the public that swift action will be taken to maintain the transparency and fairness of the election.
