The Electoral Commission (EC) has suspended the re-collation of election results for the Dome Kwabenya and Ablekuma North constituencies, citing issues with missing pink sheets and unresolved disputes over election documents.

The re-collation exercise was part of a review ordered by a High Court following allegations of irregularities in the 2024 elections. While the EC has completed the re-collation for seven constituencies, all in favor of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the process for Dome Kwabenya and Ablekuma North has been delayed due to documentation issues.

In Ablekuma North, the returning officer was unable to present 62 missing pink sheets, preventing the completion of the re-collation. For Dome Kwabenya, pink sheets for three polling stations were only available in soft copy, and efforts to obtain hard copies have failed. Both the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been unable to provide the necessary documents, with the NPP attributing the missing sheets to disruptions and violence during the initial collation process.

The re-collation exercise was conducted under heavy security, with military and police personnel deployed to maintain order. Despite the suspension, the EC has assured that it is committed to resolving the issues and upholding electoral integrity. The Director of Electoral Services, Benjamin Bano Bio, stated that investigations are ongoing to address the missing documents and disputes in these constituencies.
