The Electoral Commission (EC) has called on the public to remain patient as results from the presidential election continue to be processed. In a statement, the Commission assured citizens that it would provide regular updates, as it has done over the past 24 hours.

The EC also urged both permanent and temporary staff, particularly those at the Constituency Collation Centres, to remain diligent and carry out their duties efficiently. It appealed to political party agents to cooperate with staff to ensure a smooth collation and transmission of results at the constituency and regional levels.

The Commission emphasized that all results collated at the Constituency and Regional Collation Centres, and transmitted to the National Collation Centre, will be the official figures declared by the Returning Officer, Mrs. Jean Mensa, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
