President-elect John Dramani Mahama has revealed his intention to become a full-time farmer after retiring from politics.

Speaking during a visit to his Yapei and Busunu farms over the weekend, Mahama expressed his lifelong passion for agriculture, describing farming as his true calling. He emphasised that if he had not entered politics, he would have pursued farming as a career.

“Farming is my life. I love it,” Mahama said. “When I retire, I will return to full-time farming. If you want to see me, you will have to come here to the farm.”

Mahama’s deep connection to agriculture remains a central part of his life, and he plans to focus on it once his political career concludes.
