The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has warned the public to ignore fraudulent social media posts falsely claiming that unclaimed baggage at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) is being sold for GH₵32.

The misleading posts, which first appeared in October 2024, have resurfaced on Facebook, prompting GACL to issue a renewed disclaimer. The company stressed that these posts are completely false and intended to deceive people into making payments for non-existent luggage sales.

GACL clarified that it has never authorized any third party to communicate on its behalf and emphasized that all official announcements are shared through its verified social media channels.

The company urged the public to remain cautious, ignore any unofficial posts about luggage sales, and report any suspicious activity, reaffirming its commitment to protecting the public from such scams.
