In a dramatic shake-up, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dissolved the Black Stars Management Committee following a meeting of its Executive Council on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

The decision comes in the wake of the national team’s recent struggles, including their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Black Stars’ underwhelming form has been a source of frustration for fans, with many calling for drastic changes. Missing out on AFCON 2025 marks a significant low point for the four-time champions, sparking debates about the team’s leadership and direction.

The dissolution of the management committee is seen as the first of many changes as the GFA seeks to restore the Black Stars’ standing on the continent. Eyes are now on the association to unveil a new plan and leadership to guide Ghana back to footballing glory.
