Ghana’s Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has described her husband, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the ideal leader to navigate the country through its current challenges.

In an interview with GTV, Mrs. Bawumia praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer for his leadership skills, vision, and commitment to transforming Ghana. She urged Ghanaians to place their trust in him during the upcoming general election on 7 December.

“A vote for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP is a vote for hope and progress,” she stated, emphasizing his track record and experience as the qualities needed to address the nation’s pressing issues.

Reflecting on the NPP’s time in power, she highlighted the government’s efforts over the past eight years and expressed confidence in her husband’s ability to deliver sustainable development for Ghana.

“He is honest, hardworking, and intelligent. I know he will bring bold solutions to move this country forward,” she said.

The 2024 general election is shaping up to be a decisive moment for Ghana, with Dr. Bawumia aiming to succeed President Nana Akufo-Addo as the NPP’s candidate.
