The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Publishing Company, Nana Kwasi Boatey, has announced the launch of a 24-hour economy initiative aimed at significantly enhancing the firm’s production capacity and operational efficiency.
In a statement made at a recent handing-over ceremony, Boatey outlined plans to introduce extended working hours that will not only increase the company’s output but also create additional employment opportunities. The policy is expected to drive higher sales and improve overall productivity across the board.
“I am committed to immediately implementing the President’s vision of a 24-hour economy. Having assessed the readiness of the team, I believe there is no reason why we cannot double our production, sales, and workforce,” Boatey said, urging staff to work in unison to bring the ambitious plan to fruition.
Outgoing CEO David Asante, who presided over the company for several years, highlighted the significant progress achieved during his tenure. He noted that the company’s financial position had improved substantially since he took office. “When I assumed leadership, we had only GH¢80,000 in the company’s accounts. Today, we boast millions in deposits,” Asante stated.
Under his leadership, the company also expanded with the opening of a new branch in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, and made substantial investments in machinery, positioning the Ghana Publishing Company to take on larger contracts and boost revenue.
