Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has successfully concluded her second attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual. She sang for an impressive 121 hours and 39 minutes.

In a heartfelt post on X, Afua thanked the nation for its overwhelming support throughout the attempt. “Hello, Ghana! I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your amazing support during my Guinness World Records Longest Singing Marathon Individual attempt,” she said.

Afua began her singathon on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Kumasi, with fans and supporters cheering her on as she worked towards setting a new record.

This marks Afua’s second attempt at the world record, after her first attempt in December 2023. While her previous effort gained widespread attention, especially for the viral moment when she lost her voice, it ultimately did not meet the necessary criteria set by Guinness World Records due to non-compliance with certain regulations.
