The Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) has congratulated John Mahama on his victory in the 2024 presidential election, praising his bold vision for an inclusive and prosperous future.

In a statement, the association commended Mahama for securing the confidence of the Ghanaian people and for his transformative policy agenda. GRASAG highlighted several initiatives outlined in his manifesto, including the 24-Hour Economy Policy, the Stress-Free Fees Policy, and plans to expand opportunities in entrepreneurship and education.

GRASAG also acknowledged the statesmanship of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate, for conceding defeat ahead of the official results from the Electoral Commission.

The association, which represents graduate students across the country, expressed its eagerness to collaborate with the president-elect to ensure the successful implementation of his promises. GRASAG believes these policies will address key issues such as youth unemployment, access to quality education, and economic empowerment.

“We look forward to a prosperous era of development and opportunities for the youth of Ghana under his leadership,” said Emmanuel Owusu, National President of GRASAG, and Rafiu Anwar-Sadat, General Secretary.

GRASAG concluded by stating that Mahama’s victory marks a new chapter of hope and trust in Ghana’s sustainable development.
