Henry Quartey, the Interior Minister and former Greater Accra Regional Minister, has lost his parliamentary seat in Ayawaso Central to Abdul Rauf Tongym Tubazu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to provisional results, Tubazu secured 29,965 votes, while Quartey of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) received 23,339 votes.
