Mohammed Kudus is set to return to action for West Ham United after serving a five-match suspension, and is available for their upcoming Premier League clash with Leicester City.

The Black Stars midfielder was sent off during West Ham’s match against Tottenham on October 19 for slapping and pushing two opposing players. Initially handed a three-game ban, the suspension was later extended to five matches, and Kudus was fined £60,000 by the English Football Association.

Kudus missed West Ham’s matches against Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest during his suspension. His absence was felt by the Hammers, who secured just one win in that period, a victory over Newcastle.

Kudus’ return comes as a welcome boost for manager Julen Lopetegui, who is under pressure as West Ham look to recover in what is expected to be a demanding December schedule. Prior to his suspension, Kudus had scored two goals in eight appearances this season.
