In commemoration of World TB Day, the Ghana Health Service, in partnership with the National Tuberculosis Control Programme, is spearheading a significant initiative to spotlight the fight against tuberculosis.

A delegation, including Her Excellency Lordina Mahama, the First Lady of Ghana, the Minister of Health,Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and other key dignitaries, is scheduled to visit the pediatric ward at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.

This year’s World TB Day theme, “Yes! We Can End TB. Commit, Invest, Deliver”, emphasizes the critical need for increased political will, strategic investments, and collaborative efforts as Ghana moves toward the 2030 End TB Strategy target.

The visit aims to underscore the importance of childhood tuberculosis, drawing attention to the need for enhanced care and intervention for the nation’s youngest patients.

The dignitaries will engage with children undergoing treatment and their caregivers, underscoring the urgency of addressing TB in the country’s pediatric population.
