Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama, marked Father’s Day on Sunday with a public tribute to her husband, President John Dramani Mahama, commending his devotion to both family and nation.

In a message posted to her official Facebook account on June 15, Mrs. Mahama thanked the president for what she described as his “strength, guidance, and the endless love” he offers their family. “To my amazing husband and a truly wonderful father John Dramani Mahama—Happy Father’s Day,” she wrote. “Bless you always.” The post concluded with the hashtag #FathersDay.

The message drew broad attention online, with many Ghanaians echoing the sentiment and applauding Mr. Mahama for his commitment to family life, even amid the pressures of political leadership.

Mr. Mahama, who has been widely recognized for his measured leadership style and emphasis on family values, is known for maintaining a visible and affectionate bond with his wife and children.
