Mahama appoints Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff, Names Goosie Tanoh and Others to Key Positions

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced key appointments to his office ahead of his swearing-in on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Julius Debrah, who previously held the position, has been reappointed as Chief of Staff. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an aide to Mahama, confirmed the appointments in a statement issued on January 6, underscoring their strategic importance in supporting the incoming administration’s goals.

Other notable appointments include:

Dr. Callistus Mahama – Executive Secretary to the President

Prosper Douglas Bani – Head of Interim Security Taskforce

Dr. Valerie Sawyerr – Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs

Augustus Goosie Tanoh – Presidential Advisor, responsible for 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development

Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew – Legal Counsel to the President

Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu – Acting Spokesperson to the President

These appointments are seen as pivotal in shaping the new administration’s policies and priorities.
