Mahama appoints Nii Lantey Vanderpuye as National Coordinator for DRIP

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuye as the National Coordinator for the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP), a key initiative aimed at improving road infrastructure across Ghana.

Launched in July 2024 by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, DRIP seeks to enhance road networks in all 275 constituencies. The programme is designed to provide Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the resources and machinery needed for effective road maintenance and construction.

Mr.Vanderpuye, a former Member of Parliament for Odododiodio, has a track record of advocating for transparency and accountability in government infrastructure projects. He has previously held ministerial roles, including Minister of Youth and Sports and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry.

As National Coordinator,Mr. Vanderpuye will oversee DRIP’s implementation and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure its success.
