President John Dramani Mahama is set to begin a two-day tour of Ghana’s Northern Region on Saturday, part of an initiative branded “Resetting Ghana” aimed at gathering public feedback and assessing development progress.
The visit follows a similar trip to the Bono Region and is designed to give residents—through traditional authorities—a platform to engage directly with the government on policy impacts, local economic conditions, and infrastructure needs.
During the tour, Mr. Mahama is expected to launch construction on a series of 24-hour market projects and review ongoing public works. He will be accompanied by senior government officials.
The trip will conclude Sunday with a town hall at University of Development Studies in Tamale, where administration officials are scheduled to present an update on key policy measures introduced over the past year.
