Mahama Pledges Smooth Transition, Set to Work with Akufo-Addo

President-elect John Mahama has expressed his readiness to collaborate with outgoing President Nana Akufo-Addo to ensure a seamless transition of power.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Mahama announced that a transition team will be established by Wednesday, December 11, 2024 to oversee the process.

“I am committed to working with President Akufo-Addo to ensure a smooth and efficient handover,” Mahama stated, emphasizing his focus on unity and continuity as Ghana moves forward.

The announcement has been widely welcomed as a positive step toward maintaining the country’s reputation for peaceful democratic transitions.
