President-elect John Dramani Mahama has pledged to build a government that reflects the aspirations and dreams of all Ghanaians, regardless of their political affiliation.

Speaking after being declared the winner of the 2024 general elections by the Electoral Commission, Mahama addressed a crowd of supporters and party members at his campaign office. He expressed deep gratitude for the trust the Ghanaian people had placed in him.

“It is with tremendous humility that I accept the clear mandate you, the good people of Ghana, have given me to lead this great nation,” he said.

Mahama emphasized that every vote cast symbolized the hopes and future of the country. “Every vote carried the same weight and represented the collective hopes and future of our nation,” he said.

In a call for unity, Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to forming a government that would serve the interests of all citizens, including those who did not vote for him. “I promise you that I will assemble and lead a government that will carry the weight of those hopes and dreams, whether you voted for me or not, because every victory is a victory for the people,” he stated.
