At the final rally of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Accra, former President and party flagbearer John Dramani Mahama issued a passionate plea for electoral transparency, while raising serious concerns about alleged misconduct in the upcoming elections.

Mahama questioned how the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) allegedly gained access to the printing plates used for ballot papers and voter registration documents.

“I ask the EC, how did the NPP get the printing plate to print the ballot papers and register?” Mahama asked, his voice firm.

He urged the Electoral Commission (EC), security agencies, and all stakeholders responsible for overseeing the electoral process to prioritize the nation’s peace and stability.

“I plead with the EC, security agencies, and everyone mandated to ensure our election is free and fair to think about Ghana and discharge their duties with integrity,” he said.
