John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of Ghana’s opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), will begin a three-day campaign tour of the Western Region from today, November 25.
The visit comes shortly after Mr. Mahama completed a five-day tour of the Eastern Region, as he intensifies his efforts to secure votes ahead of the December 7 general election, now less than two weeks away.
The former president will commence his tour with a courtesy call on the Western Regional House of Chiefs, where he is expected to engage with traditional leaders and pay his respects.
He will also hold meetings with religious leaders in the region before embarking on constituency visits. His itinerary includes stops in Wassa East, Shama, Essikadu-Ketan, Sekondi, Effia, Kwesimintsim, and Takoradi.
The tour is part of Mr. Mahama’s nationwide campaign to rally support for the NDC as he seeks a return to the presidency.
