President John Dramani Mahama has announced plans to form a National Education Reform Committee to conduct an in-depth review of Ghana’s education system.
The review will examine all educational levels, from basic to tertiary, aiming to strengthen the sector and meet its changing needs. Speaking at the National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Winneba on January 9, Mahama highlighted the importance of reforms to improve both the quality and accessibility of education in Ghana.
“I will set up a planning committee to initiate the National Education Review Conference I promised. This conference will evaluate our education system, from kindergarten through to tertiary and technical vocational education, identifying obstacles to quality education at each level,” Mahama stated.
