The Joint Transition Team overseeing the handover from the outgoing administration has called for a thorough review of last-minute payments, recruitments, and other related activities.

In a statement released following its second meeting on Friday, December 13, 2024, the team announced that all significant actions of this nature would now require case-by-case approval. The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and clarity during the transition period, and fostering a fair process to address any issues that arise.

The spokesperson for the Mahama Transition Team highlighted the importance of strict adherence to these guidelines, urging public officials to comply fully and resist any undue pressure.

The new measures are designed to maintain accountability and ensure a smooth and orderly handover between the incoming and outgoing administrations.
