In a visionary address during his inauguration, President John Dramani Mahama outlined a bold plan to transform Ghana into a 24-hour economy, emphasizing inclusivity, job creation, and resilience.

“Businesses can operate pleasantly to meet the diverse demands that they’re subjected to, and yet can find opportunities regardless of traditional institutions,” Mahama declared, setting the tone for a progressive economic agenda.

Highlighting the potential of a round-the-clock economy, he stated, “The 24-hour economy model will bolster job creation for young people, stimulate the local industry, attract foreign investments, and allow us to build resilient computer care and a sustainable future.” Mahama’s plan aims to revitalize the economy by leveraging the energy and creativity of Ghana’s youth.

Addressing the nation’s younger generation, he added, “This vision extends to young men and women from less than 25, and more than one million, who contribute to our international companies.” Mahama’s commitment to nurturing young talent and creating opportunities for all was clear as he emphasized the role of the youth in shaping the nation’s future.

“My fellow citizens, this vision will allow us to embrace diversity, cater to their varied lifestyles and preferences, and foster a culture of inclusion, ensuring that every citizen can enjoy the fruits of their labor,” he concluded, promising a future where every Ghanaian feels valued and empowered.
