McDan Aviation has resumed operations at its private jet terminal as of January 20, 2025, following the resolution of a long-standing debt dispute with the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL). The reopening marks a pivotal moment in the company’s efforts to maintain and expand its premium aviation services.
The terminal had been closed after GACL cited an unpaid debt exceeding $3 million. Alhaji Abdul Issaka Bamba, Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Divisional Union, had previously noted that the outstanding debt was well past due in remarks made to Accra-based Starr FM.
In a statement, McDan Aviation expressed appreciation for GACL’s cooperation in addressing the issues and ensuring a smooth resumption of services. The company emphasized that its Fixed Base Operator (FBO) terminal is integral to its strategy of delivering high-end, seamless travel experiences.
The reopening of the FBO is expected to bolster McDan Aviation’s offerings, providing clients with a blend of luxury, efficiency, and comfort. The terminal’s upgraded facilities include a private lounge for passengers, a concierge service to manage travel logistics, and heightened safety measures to ensure a secure environment.
McDan Aviation reaffirmed its commitment to delivering exceptional private jet services, inviting its clientele to experience the newly enhanced operations and services at the terminal.
