The police say they have found the Chief Executive of Ghanaian firm NextGen InfraCo, Tony Mintah, who was declared missing earlier today.

NextGen InfraCo has been awarded the contract to oversee Ghana’s 5G spectrum upgrade, marking a significant milestone in the country’s telecom sector. According to police reports, Mr. Mintah, a key figure in this project, was taken from the National Communications Authority (NCA) by unknown individuals.

Mr. Mintah is now being transferred to the Police Headquarters from the Kaneshie Police Station, where he was initially held. This incident comes just days before the scheduled November 1st rollout of the 5G service, announced by Communications Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
